Hooden Examples.png

The base hooden form. They all have these things in common: five hooves on each foot, a mane and tail tuft, and a head that matches their elemental affinity. Outside of these features, each hooden may be quite different!

BODY

Design Basics

  • Hooden are primarily quadrupedal. Four feet should be planted on the ground for most of their movement, though they may stand on two for brief periods of time.

  • Hooden must have a head that evokes or is made of their elemental affinity. These heads must have at least one facial feature on it, be it eyes, a mouth or a nose. At least one feature must be present to count as a head.

  • Hooden have five hooves: three of them touch the ground and two are held aloft either as spurs or thumbs. This means that their legs are automatically ungui

  • Hooden do not reproduce like other creatures. They do not have reproductive structures.

  • Hooden always have a mane and tail tuft. These can be short or long, dark or light, and don't have to match the base body color.

What makes a hooden?

Hooves

The base hoof form. Note five digits on each foot, and a horse-like or deer-like mode of walking.

Tails

Untitled_Artwork 19.png

All hooden must have tufts on their tails. This just means there's an area of longer fur of a different color than the base tail, always the same color as the mane.

Stylization is encouraged. The spurs can be more like thumbs with hooves, and legs can be drawn in a "stick-like" way. So long as the five digits are implied, it should be good!

The tufted portion of the tail may be the same color as the mane or one of the colors already present on the Hooden for common markings.

Manes

Ears

A selection of manes. They can take many shapes and styles, and can be braided or wrapped up with accessories. Markings can affect manes, and manes can occur anywhere on the neck or back

Ears can come in many shapes and sizes too. They do not have to be a certain size or shape.

- In the first example, the ear is the same material as the Object (leaves)

- In the second example, the ear is naked and pokes out of the mane

- The third example shows a tuft of fur in place of an ear

- The fourth is a long floppy ear covered in fur
